A 2nd Frank Lloyd Wright House in the Shoals

flw

The Shoals almost had two Frank Lloyd Wright homes. The Rosenbaum House and the Crosby-Lambert House.

A color rendering of the Crosby-Lambert House. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1958 at a proposed cost of $35,000. Though construction never began, the house was destined for Colbert County, Alabama. A single-story, flat-roofed one-bedroom residence of masonry construction. The drawings featured an unusual quarter-round living room window wall.

The house was to be built North of River Road in the Bainbridge Road area. Sadly, the husband passed away before construction began, and the project was suspended. Frank Lloyd Wright passed away around the same time as well.
